Local Scholarships
Scholarships are offered by a wide variety of private sources including national foundations, unions, employers, and local community organizations. There are numerous local scholarship opportunities sent to Apple Valley High School beginning later in the fall through spring; 99% of these are for students in the senior class.
SENIORS
The Local Scholarship Directory lists the scholarships that have funded in the past and we hope will continue to fund this year. Seniors can print this Directory and put check marks by the scholarships they qualify for and would like to compete for. Please bring this to Mrs. Williams so she can notify you if and when the scholarships become available.
To apply for local scholarships, a few require you fill out the Local Scholarship application and type a short essay stating your future plans. The Local Scholarship application is a now available for you to type online. Complete the application and print a copy, type the one-page essay stating your future plans and print a copy; bring the copies to the Career Center. The copies will be filed in the Career Center as a backup!

FRESHMEN THROUGH JUNIORS
Current Local Scholarships for underclassmen can be found in the Underclass Scholarship Bulletin . Those that are in BOLD are the Local Scholarships.
National Scholarships
Online national scholarships are always available. There are numerous websites to locate scholarships, you can investigate this on google or specific scholarship websites.. This Senior Scholarship Directory and the Underclass Scholarship Bulletin are resources that students can use to start applying for national scholarships. The websites listed at the top of the directory are informational and some have you create a profile for yourself. The site will send you scholarship information based on how you answered their questions.
